We offer English riding lessons with focus on dressage. We have lesson horses for various rider needs - from a 100% bomb-proof horse for fearful beginners to athletic dressage schoolmaster horses.

As a beginning student, you will learn how to groom, tack, and untack. You will learn how to steer, walk, trot, and basic equitation. When you have mastered these skills, you will learn how to canter. Once you can perform these basic skills you will move up to intermediate and can specialize your training in dressage, jumping, cross country, or just keep riding with a professional there to help you grow as a rider.

Not only do we teach kids the techniques and tactics of sports, but we are continually finding ways to teach positivity, good nutrition, and the importance of community.

With online adult classes, youth experiences, advocacy opportunities and more, together we can continue to nurture our collective passion for birds and the natural world, and fight for their protection. We offer adult and youth education/classes.

The Level one and Level two cake decorating classes is a 3-hour class that meets once a week for seven weeks - for a total of 21 hours of instruction. The class price does not include the cost of supplies.

Lessons are customized to your goals. We have a lovely group of schooling horses for you to learn with. We focus on safety on the ground and in the saddle and this begins with learning to communicate effectively with horses creating great balance for the rider and horse. All skill levels are welcome.

Ethos offers private lessons, group classes and music camps for individuals ages 5 and older from our headquarters in North Portland. We recommend that new students begin with either a group class or summer camp. Both options introduce students to their instruments in a collaborative setting, and allow them to gain momentum and focus before they transition to private lessons.

Safety is the first goal of any lesson. Lessons will progress from basics (like kicks and blowing bubbles) to self-rescue (rolling into backfloats to breathe, returning independently to the poolside after jumping in) to strokes (freestyle, backstroke), all the way to advanced strokes (breaststroke, butterfly), and competitive skills (flip-turns, drills, timed laps).

Our highly successful three-step program provides immediate benefits. First, our Portland tutor quickly brings the student up to speed. Next, the tutor will motivate the student to work ahead of the class, and finally they will reinforce key concepts so the student can maintain their competitive edge. Not only do you receive progress reports from your tutor, but you will be able to track your progress in classroom performance and graded assignments.

Programs at GiGi’s Playhouse offer foundational learning opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome, their families and the community.

Airport Learning Tree’s theme-based curriculum is designed to make learning fun and inspiring for children. All of our childcare and preschool programs are designed to fully integrate all developmental concepts including: language, literacy, mathematics, social/emotional, art, science, health and safety. Hipcooks provides hands-on cooking classes for the novice & seasoned cook alike.

Learn how to carve a themed ice sculpture, step-by-step, using various chisels and hand tools. Walk away with a completed sculpture that you can take home to show off to with your friends and family! We provide a workstation fitted with a 65lb block of clear ice (about the size of a large watermelon) and a collection of hand tools. Up to 2 people can carve on a workstation to collaborate on a creation.
