Rhys Thomas is a celebrated performer and educator who masterfully blends science, comedy, and circus arts. Creator of the Science Circus, he teaches Newtonian physics through entertaining acts like bowling ball juggling, glass bowl spinning, lariats and unicycling. Rhys, who humorously claims an M.F.A. (Master of Frivolous Arts), has dazzled audiences at museums, schools, and festivals in 34 countries. Recognized as Best American Act in Japan’s World Cup Street Performer Competition and honored with an Oregon Arts Fellowship and a Smithsonian Artist in Residence, Rhys’s greatest joy is his family. He lives in Portland with his wife Maria and their multi-talented daughters, Isabel and Matilda.
