Candle Making Workshop at Live Laugh Love Art

During our hands-on Candle Making workshop you will go on a scent exploration, learn how to pour your own candle, and make a chunky pillar candle. We will have everything you need to get creative; materials, tools, lots of inspiration and a Talented Studio Host to walk you through the process of candle making step by step. Register as a solo participant, or register with your friends and family to enjoy your time together socializing while making something beautiful! Bring your family and join us in the parking lot of Sunnyside Little Chapel of Chimes in Happy Valley, Oregon to watch Disney's Lilo & Stitch on a 36' screen! We'll supply you with a movie snack pack plus you can pre-order additional food for delivery to your car. We look forward to welcoming you and your family! Fun for Families: Bug Hotel and Garden Project - KCC

This is an in-person event outdoors at our Portland Center. Masks will be worn with social distancing. We are planning an outdoor get together at KCC for any kids (toddlers to teens) and their families on April 18th at 2 PM to make a Bug Hotel and also work on the garden area designated for the children! Amy Vance is going to lead us in these activities which should be a lot of fun for both the children and the grownups who accompany them. 蝦仔 Little Shrimp is a bilingual audio play about intergenerational relationships within Chinese culture. Where do stories live? How are stories passed on from one generation to the next? Do our ancestors live within us? The show’s Cantonese title, 蝦仔 (“little shrimp” in English), is an endearing, diminutive, and gender-neutral term for a small child. Commonly used about 2 generations ago roughly around the turn of the last century, the term connotes a kinship between the child and the adult.
