Stop Motion Magic // Exploring Animation Basics (ages 8-10) - PAM CUT

Dive into the wonderful world of stop motion animation in this 3-day camp designed just for kids ages 8-10! Join animator and intermedia artist Emma Rae Prochaska as she guides campers through the exciting foundations of stop motion animation. Throughout the camp, we’ll practice telling stories and use storyboards to plan our projects. We’ll play with techniques and materials like armatures, clay, felt, cut paper, and even use everyday objects to make our wildest ideas come alive.

Get those creative juices flowing as we design characters, build sets, and use iPads to animate our awesome creations. During the week, campers will not only exercise their imaginations but also develop creativity and problem-solving skills through teamwork. We’ll create all sorts of animations, from cool flip books to pixilation masterpieces. At the end of the week, we’ll showcase our fantastic work in an animation-tastic exhibition for family and friends. Ready for some animation fun? Let’s create some movie magic together!
