Gresham's Jack-O-Lantern Contest

Let’s give downtown Gresham a spooky and fun glow for Halloween this year, join us for the first ever Gresham Jack-o-Lantern Competition. Participants can choose from free pumpkins we will offer at City Hall OR source their own perfect pumpkin. Pumpkin pick-up October 14 & 15 | Pumpkin drop-off October 28 & 31. Pumpkins will be displayed around the History Museum on 4th and Main in Historic Downtown Gresham on Halloween, October 31, between 4pm and 6pm.

Guidelines:
1. FREE pumpkins will be available for pickup at Gresham City Hall (1333 NW Eastman Parkway) on Friday, October 14 from 8am – 5pm & Saturday, October 15 from 8am – 12pm.
 
 
2. Get Creative! Using real pumpkins, participants can carve, paint, or decorate their pumpkins for the competition. Multiple pumpkin entries are allowed.

4. Completed pumpkins can be delivered to City Hall starting Friday, October 28 from 8am – 5pm and on Monday, October 31 between 8am – 3pm. ALL pumpkins must be delivered to City Hall by 3pm so we can ensure they make it to the Historic Museum in time for the Safe Trick-or-Treat event. Mayor and Council will select four winners of the Jack-o-Lantern contest. Winners will receive various family-fun prizes!
 
 
5. Voting categories include:
a. Best painted, carved, or decorated Jack-o-Lantern (ages 12 and under)
b. Best painted, carved, or decorated Jack-o-Lantern (ages 12+)
c. Largest + most creative painted, carved, or decorated Jack-o-Lantern
d. Gresham’s Best – a Jack-o-Lantern design inspired by Gresham
6. Winners will be shared on the City’s social media and notified via phone or email of their prize.
7. Pumpkins will be displayed around the History Museum on 4th and Main in Historic Downtown Gresham on Halloween, October 31, between 4pm and 6pm.
