Family Papermaking Workshop | Nordic Northwest
This is a multi-generational workshop! An adult guardian is required for children under the age of 18. Adult guardians do not have to purchase a ticket if they only plan to assist children in the craft. In order to cover costs, if an adult plans to make their own separate craft, they are required to purchase a ticket. Great for ages 8 and up.

Nordic countries are known for their beautiful paper crafts, including handmade paper. They’re also known for sustainability and recycling. In this workshop, you will do both, by learning how to make your own paper out of scraps! Using just scrap paper, water, a blender, and a paper mold, you’ll make your own unique creations to use as cards, notes, craft and scrapbooking paper, or give as gifts. Add Nordic touches with Nordic language magazines and newspapers, pressed flowers, and stencils of Nordic designs.
In this workshop you’ll make paper pulp from scrap paper, learning how to blend it up and filter into screen molds, dry it, and decorate! Interesting collage and natural materials will be on hand to experiment with adding to your paper mixtures.
Enough materials will be provided to make a set of 8 letter-size pieces of unique handcrafted paper. Stencils, gift ribbon, and other add-ons will be provided for optional decoration.
