Family Paper Mushroom Workshop | Nordic Northwest | Kids Out and About Portland

Family Paper Mushroom Workshop | Nordic Northwest

Nordic culture has a long tradition of paper arts, and a love of mushrooms! In art, design, cuisine, and fairytales, mushrooms are featured prominently. Crepe paper is renowned for being able to replicate the characteristics of nature and is used in almost all cultures to sculpt lifelike flowers and plants. In this workshop students will learn how to create a fairytale mushroom using artist-grade crepe paper. Students will get to choose between two types of mushrooms and choose their own colors, with the option to mount them on wood bases. Great for ages 9 and older.
