Danbury Library presents: Using Tech to Hide Secrets and Bury Treasures - a virtual program
*The event has already taken place on this date: Thu, 01/12/2023
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
Please Note: This is a virtual program via Zoom. Participants will receive a link to the program via email upon completing registration.
Join us for fun tips and techniques on how to use your personal tech to hide secrets and bury your treasures! We’ll talk about how information is stored in digital format, and how to manipulate and encrypt it for protection from hackers, identity thieves, and prying eyes!
Safeguard your diary entries, financial spreadsheets, account numbers, love letters, login passwords, photos, even that novel you started at your secret hideaway.
By the way, where is that lair of yours? Learn how to write special messages in your will to guide your trusted heirs to hidden locations anywhere on earth. Prized possessions, loot, heirlooms, who needs a safety deposit box when satellites in orbit can serve you better than a pirate’s treasure map! We’ll also explore geocaching hunts, which are great family fun.
