Under the expert guidance of teaching artist Teeny Conway, campers will explore key elements of miniature world building—such as layout, scale, proportion, symmetry, and balance—transforming everyday items into intricate, detailed environments. They’ll also dream up the creatures that inhabit their creations, and discuss how to design sustainable communities that reflect shared values.
Campers will work with a variety of materials—clay, paper, plastic, foam, wire, and wood—and experiment with basic engineering and architectural principles to ensure their designs are sturdy and creative. Through teamwork and problem-solving, campers will learn to share ideas, overcome challenges, and collaborate effectively.
