Welcome aspiring artists and animation enthusiasts! We’re diving headfirst into the mesmerizing world of animation using the digital illustration app Procreate. By the end of the program, campers will leave with a portfolio of animated creations—and be equipped with a ninja-like understanding of design thinking and the ability to turn their imaginative visions into animated masterpieces. Campers will hone their skills in animation and digital art essentials.

Teaching artist Fry will demystify the processes of ideation, prototyping, and refining creations using an iterative approach. We’ll emphasize teamwork and collective creativity as campers collaborate on group projects, and refine their problem-solving prowess through animation challenges and design briefs. Campers will be guided by design thinking methodologies, investigating frame-by-frame animation, motion graphics, and digital illustration techniques.

Join us as we craft visual narratives, strategically plan animation sequences, and unleash the power of expressing ideas and emotions through visual storytelling. By camp’s end, participants won’t just showcase a portfolio of animated wonders; they’ll exude the confidence to strut their stuff and discuss their animated creations like seasoned pros. Get ready to bring your imagination to life through the magic of animation!
